Struggling with boys names

Hello everyone,

Finding it hard to come up with any names I really like for a boy...

I like simple names, 'rustic' in feel (!!) old fashioned ish but not things like Arthur. Not bothered about popularity.

I already have 3 girls: Meg, Bess and Emma and 1 boy - Rafe.

Love the name Rafe and would really like to find something I love as much for this chap.

My list changes daily (hormonal...) but liking:
Jem
Laurie

My dh likes Ed, but I HATE it....

If you have something to throw into the pot, please do!

At the moment I think Jem, Laurie and Soren are my favourites - I love Tom too - is that just overdone though?!!

Just an idea because you mentioned liking Scandie names - Ds has a Viggo in his class and I think it's a lovely name.

CitronVert · 04/06/2014 19:40

Just been reading Viggo's wiki from the link above. Wow, he's a bit of a renaissance man isn't he?

Love Laurie, Kit and Jem. What about Jed?

devoncreamtea · 04/06/2014 19:49

biscuits/ corn - loving Viggo Mortensen!!!

citron not so keen on Jed as Jem

Discovered Ellis - quite like

Digby? Is that a dogs name?

I came over all wobbly reading the wiki page Grin

Sascha is great. It's the Russian diminutive for Alexander. If you like that sort of thing, Mischa? (Russian diminutive for Michael) or Pasha (pavel/Paul).

Or, if you like scandi names... Stellan? (wanders off to Wikipedia Stellan Skarsgard).

Fizzyplonk · 04/06/2014 20:10

Lief
Heath
Bay
Caspian
Jasper

devoncreamtea · 04/06/2014 20:32

Is Mischa mee shah or mishk ah?

mee shah :)

I like Laurie best.
Jem reminds me of the 80's cartoon, girl with bright pink hair! (Probably just me though!)
Soren? Soren Lorenson in Charlie and Lola?

Good luck!!!!
