Richard William. OH and I love it but dsis said it will get shortened to dick we like old fashioned names with history behind them are their any others we could consider with out them being too much

I am clearly very immature. I saw this and immediately thought "dick willy". And therefore it was a piss take.

DD1 (7) has a friend Richard. He's lovely and always called Richard. Of all the Richards I know they are either known as Richard or shortened to Rich. No Dicks among them. Boom boom.

I'm not mad on Richard but there's no good reason and I have two lovely Richards in my family! I really love William
