Love the name Daisy but can it be used with our other names?

Hiya I love everything about the name Daisy & would love it to be my daughters middle name (DP would never agree to it being a 1st).
Think we are going for Phoebe as a first name and June after my nan for a 2nd middle name.
Is there anyway these names flow well & could work together?

Ideally I didn't want Phoebe followed by another ie y sound, - the problem is ALL my fav names end with these sounds Confused

The other thing I'm thinking is, Is Daisy June a little to close to Daisy Duke (dukes of hazzord)??

I know Phoebe Daisy June will probably never get used as a full name, DC1 only has 1 middle name & even that never gets mentioned, but still want it to be a good full name.

Opinions please and alternatives to Daisy welcome.

Also love Lily and Emily - which of course pose the same ie y problem Angry

Phoebe Daisy June sounds fine and as you pointed out middle names are really only discussed when the baby is first born. It's a long name but flows fine. Good luck

alita7 · 11/05/2014 21:31

That's fine as long as the surname isn't too long, it doesn't flow brilliantly but a lot of names don't I think mines a bit clunky, but I don't mind.

NCFTTB · 11/05/2014 21:32

I think it's fine too.

If DC1 only has 1 middle name, it seems a bit mean on them to give DC2, 2. My mum has 1, both her DBs have 2. 70 years later she is still going on about it.

I wouldn't worry about Daisy June, I don't think anyone remembers the Dukes of Hazzard anymore do they?

Thanks all.
I'm not fussed about DS having 1 middle name and DD 2- don't thinkDS would thank me isn't heftier for giving him his great grandads nameWink but my nan is still alive & a huge figure in our lives so it's important I pop her name in.

Phoebe June Daisy scans better, IMO.

Graciejoylove8 · 14/05/2014 14:02

I agree with Blu, Phoebe June Daisy flows nicely...

Funny, I have a very simple first and middle name for dd1, but dd2 (yet to arrive) potentially has multiple mn's and too many syllables which freaks me out in being 'unfair'
Logical, sane people think I need to be committed for spending so much time worrying about such things.
Point is; I understand the concern you have between such variations re; siblings and equality
I guess at the end of the day, it's just what your instinct tells you and the chn will eventually understand it was just the way it felt right at the time.
who am I tiring to convince here??
:)

Graciejoylove8 · 14/05/2014 14:04

Sorry, misunderstood! You don't have the same concern. Boy vs girl - that's a different kettle of fish and different rules :)

Phoebe Daisy June sounds fine - lovely in fact Smile.

I had a similar dilemma with DD's middle names - she has two and both end with an 'a' sound (Eliza Louisa), but wanted to use both as they are after family members. I'm still really glad that we did - you just need to get used to saying the names together Grin.
