Are fifties names coming back into fashion?

I know of new babies called Susie, Janey and Sadie, all names I associate with an Enid Blytony era. Are those fifties names coming back into fashion? Has anyone else noticed a trend for this?

Might be another 10 years or so as the names become 'unusual' again. Think there are still lots of 60+ year olds with these names.

Yes, there are lots of Bettys and Jeans around. I would consider them to be 1950's names.

Th top 10 UK girls names given in the 1950s were: Linda, Mary, Patricia, Barbara, Susan, Nancy, Deborah, Sandra, Carol and Kathleen.

I suppose I mean names that schoolkids had in the fifties, so probably born in the forties.

I have to say I really love those kind of cosy nursery names. They remind me of the books I read as a child.

Sadie is very on trend here in Ireland at the moment. I know of a few children under six with that name.
I haven't heard of any Susans or Janes but I love both of those names.

By the way, I agree, I love those homely 1950s names. I nice change from fluttery Sophies and Emilys, or vintage Lilys, Rubys and Edies.

I met an adorable little Nancy the other day and it was a name I considered for DD1
