unique in regard to names usually= risible combination.it smacks of trying too hard
If you think it's so unique, introduce yourself as sandy castle socially, see the reaction
Meet folks and say oh call me sandy, everyone does, watch that repressed snigger at the uniqueness of it

Castle isn't a hard surname in the slightest!

This is a joke but shows how petty you all are. Maybe instead of sitting on here slagging people off get a job?

Chris you end up with some weird posters on here.

Start a "joke" thread, get offended with answers and then tell people that they are petty and to get a job.... Yawn.

I have job, Op. But more importantly I also have a sense of humour and no petted lip.

Bowlers. I did a proper out-loud snort at that Smile and now the whole lab knows I'm reading MN rather than decanting wee into little tubes.
Op, if you're really really into the name could you call your child Alexander & just have Sandy as a family nickname.
I mean, I wouldn't saddle the poor little chap with that ridiculous name but if you really wanted to you could do that.

I have both a job and a sense of humour, even though nobody noticed my parapet comment Grin

I appreciated your parapet comment, as I'm sure most other posters did.

Ignore them all OP. I think Sandy Castle is a lovely name, he'll go far in life with such a distinguished moniker.
