They're all beautiful Smile Isla is getting quite popular, if that is something that would bother you, and Ella is even more so. Nina is my favourite of the lot though, and agree about the suggestion of Elsa, which is just as beautiful Grin

Elsa is lovely and my older daughter, who is obsessed with Frozen, would love it but at the moment it just screams "Frozen" to me.

Also, and this shows my age, i cant help but think of Alf and Ailsa of Home and Away fame circa the mid 90s Blush.

They were the Taylor and Burton of the 90's!

Erin, Nina, Ella or Isla

Isla is beautiful.

I get your Alf n' Ailsa reference. For me, Ella is 'Ella Hen' from Rab C Nesbitt.

Nina has neurons. (Somebody had to.)

Erin, I quite like.

Yama · 18/04/2014 16:42

Ha ha Squoosh. Grin

SS3J · 18/04/2014 17:03

Nina

DorotheaHomeAlone · 18/04/2014 18:31

Just to counter the other Nina, I'm one and love my name! Never had any problems. Did get the ninawninaw thing in primary school but wasn't at all difficult to laugh off as so meaningless.

I get great responses to it, hardly ever meet other Ninas and it travels well and is easy to spell. Am looking for something as simple and pretty for my own daughter!

I also like Erin!

peppinagiro · 18/04/2014 20:42

To add in another suggestion, how about the Swedish name Elin? I think it's pretty, and kind of combines Erin and Ella.

RhondaJean · 18/04/2014 20:44

Erin is very common.

Isla I like, dd2s middle name, but has also become very common.

Ella isokay.

Nina is great, I have a friend called nina, she's fab.

Shreddiez · 18/04/2014 20:59

All this Nina love seems to be swaying DH who was wavering thanks to his mum's hatred of the bane. I think it's down to Nina or Ella.

Erin x

Mammanat222 · 18/04/2014 21:40

Nina and Erin - Ella and Isla are too popular.

diddlediddledumpling · 18/04/2014 21:44

Nina was the name I had chosen if we had a girl, I love love love it.
(Three boys and a snip later, we'll not get using it!)

UriGeller · 18/04/2014 21:47

I wanted a daughter called Nina since watching Juliet Stevenson in Truly Madly Deeply. I LOVE it.

DP didn't though Sad. Dd has a gorgeous name but I do sometimes call her Eeny Meeny Neeny and shorten it to Nina in the hope that it'll become her nickname.

UriGeller · 18/04/2014 21:48

There are millions of Ellas about and I can't help thinking of Ella's Kitchen. AND it might get shortened to Ellie.

Harrin · 18/04/2014 22:43

You have great taste in names, they're all lovely.

I heard of a one year old Nina the other day. The mum said she had a very popular name herself and was fed up of being one of many in her class so wanted a less popular but pretty and simple name for her daughter.

If the popularity thing is an issue for you I'd say Nina. If not I can't decide between Isla and Erin

goofygoober · 18/04/2014 22:49

I also love Nina, one of my top choices if we have a girl.

squoosh · 18/04/2014 22:51

Nina will work internationally too. No problems if she decides to live abroad at some stage.

MrsBungle · 18/04/2014 22:52

Erin or Isla. I don't like Ella or Nina.

FatFrumpyFilly · 19/04/2014 01:29

I know a 50-year-old & 5-year-old named Nina. Not my favourite name though & prefer Isla. Unfortunately that's become a massively popular name which has put me off. Ella has also been done to death so by default the winner has to be Erin.

MincingOnBy · 19/04/2014 02:01

I like all but prefer them in this order:Nina. Isla. Erin. Ella. Well I like Isla and Nina equally but would choose Nina as Isla is so popular!

mathanxiety · 19/04/2014 05:21

How about Elsa or Mila?
Of all your names, I like Isla the most.

Erin makes me think of soup.
Nina -- I think you have to have a willowy figure to carry this one off through life.
Ella -- every second girl is called Ella or Ellie where I am and it is offputting.

PunkAssMoFo · 20/04/2014 22:48

Nina.
There are loads of girls called Ella & Isla ATM.
Erin is ok

Flux700 · 21/04/2014 00:06

Elsie.
