Need an old fashioned boys name that isn't too common, HELP!

We both have the same taste in boys names (thank God) although all the ones we like are far too popular. Such as

Harry
Jack
Alfie
Oliver

and we have nephews called Billy and Charlie.

I've thought of names like Stanley and Reggie but just can't picture them on a baby/child.

Please can you suggest some names that are nice sounding and a bit different with this kind of theme?

Thanks in advance :)

Albert. Bertie for a baby but Albert is a name to grow in to.

Michael.

Aiden

Stanley, Reggie, Raymond, Alfie, Ronnie, Archie etc always make me think of old British gangster movies, and some really rough kids that I grew up with in the 1970s.

Edward (Eddie)
Robert
Charles (Charlie)
Andrew

I once had a boyfriend whose middle name was Gilbert.

I love George and think George Antony sits very well. Stanley is also nice.

With regards to a name not suiting a baby/child I understand what you mean, but we are adults more than we are children so I wouldn't let this bother you when picking a name.

We love Harry but it's very very popular where we are (East London) so are going with the grown up version of Henry.

John - such a great name, so underused in this generation

Francis (nn Frankie)

Stephen (nn Stevie)

David (nn Davey)

Philip (nn Phil or Pip)

Hugh

Basically if an apostle or a member of royalty was called it, you can't go wrong.
