Rosie Lea or Bonnie Lea

The Lea is pronounced 'Lee' and is after my best friend so can't change.

We have a little girl called Bethany so quite like the idea of two B's...

Although our surname is a little like Wright and think Rosie Wright has a nice ring to it.

You can't call a baby something that's going to be pronounced Rosie Lee. Unless you then provide her with a sister called Ruby Murray and a brother called Hampton Wick.

Although I think it might be better to add a second middle name as Lea seems incomplete (and I know you can't change it).

Of the two I'd have to go with Bonnie for the reason others have said.

Even though I much prefer Rosie.

Bonnie Lea is marginally nicer. Actually Rosie and Bonnie are both lovely, it's the Lea bit I don't like.

You night not be up on cockney slang but there are few in this country i would be willing to wager that don't know the Rosie lee reference. You may not care but your child certainly will . Don't be selfish

Would you actually call her Rosie on a day to day basis, rather than the full Rosie Lea? If so then you could maybe call her Rosalind Lea in full for official forms etc, to get away from the 'nice cuppa Rosie Lee' connotations, but she'd be known as Rosie.

Apart from rosie lee being silly, I would pronounce Lea as Leah if I saw that written down

There were two very famous Rose lee's, both Gypsys

The other was a palm reader (read Queen Victoria's) and is my ancestor

I would also go for rosalie. Then you have used 'lee' and can use Rosie as a nickname.
