Can I have a Max Smith?

Or are there too many 'SSS' sounds in the middle?

We also like a number of other names with the same issue e.g. Lawrence Smith.

Obviously the sound flows better with the middle name but I know from experience that is not what is used a school, doctors etc...!

I really like it. I know a Max Matthews. He'd love to be a Smith.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone.

I don't know how many john smiths there are out there any more!

CorusKate yes I guess he might!

I also like Owen, and I do genuinely think Owen Smith sounds better than Max Smith in terms of flow.

I should say l have two existing children and one already has the double 'S' issue (think Thomas or James) and the other one doesn't. I find when I have to say their full names for form filling purposes, which I think happens quite a lot actually, I find the one without the double S issue much more pleasing to say.

But I am a bit obsessive about these things.

I know a baby called Max Smith that was born a couple of weeks ago.....didn't think anything of it other than never have met a Max before!
