I'm currently only 20 weeks but I've already decided on the name Bree for my baby girl, but I'm completely stuck on middle names. Any ideas? I like old and unusual names so throw anything at me Grin x

Nothing even remotely linked to cheese or dairy products!

No Flora!

I think you need a name with 3 or 4 syllables. Some suggestions...

Bree Alexandra
Bree Cassandra
Bree Suzannah
Bree Gabriella
Bree Elizabeth

Bree Sophia
Bree Delilah
Bree Victoria
Bree calista
Bree Evangeline

Are yo definitely going to spell it that way?

If so, then do you want a 'modern' variant in the middle too?

LivingTheYoungMummyLife · 20/02/2014 10:14

I wasn't aware there was any other spellings..?

is 'Bree' actually a real name?
I thought it was an abbreviation (a bree viation)

witchy5 · 20/02/2014 10:17

I've heard of 'Brianna' as the full version of Bree, as well.

Irish Mumsnetters will know better, but I think that traditionally the name Brighid was also sometimes pronounced 'Breed' or 'Bree'.

In Scotland, the same name is occasionally pronounced 'Bree-jit' or 'Breej' (though many variations, eg English-style 'Bridget' and old-fashioned 'Bridie ', are also used).

But of course OP may want simply to use 'Bree' . Absolutely no criticism of that intended.

I went to school with a girl called Bree. Lovely girl. Lovely name. It's stuck with me ever since.

Needadvice5 · 21/02/2014 20:49

All I can think of is cheese,sorry...

EdithWeston · 22/02/2014 06:57

I would have assumed it was an imperfectly Anglicised version of Breagh
(like eg Shyvonne).

RaspberryRuffle · 22/02/2014 14:09

I would have assumed it was as in Bree from Desperate Housewives?
