We have a M E G A N
If this bump is a girl we both like Anna.
Would those 2 names together sound silly to you?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No, why would they? Lovely names.

Onesleeptillwembley · 30/01/2014 14:27

Just realised - you mean both having 'an' in. Nope, it's fine.

sittingbythepoolwithenzo · 30/01/2014 14:28

Sounds fine to me.

HoneyandRum · 30/01/2014 14:29

Anna is a lovely name and underused IMHO

Vijac · 30/01/2014 14:29

Totally fine. I love Anna.

dramajustfollowsme · 30/01/2014 14:30

Dh worries because of the ending an and Anna might sound like nah nah nanah.
I don't think it is a problem.

Love Anna, was my choice for second child, until we found out we were having a boy!

Hassled · 30/01/2014 14:32

I can sort of see your DH's point but put them the other way round - so start with Anna and it works well - you'll soon get in the habit. And they're lovely names.

HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs · 30/01/2014 14:34

Why the g a p s? I've seen people do this before when writing their children's names. So you can't be tracked down by someone searching your NN?

YippeeKiYayMakkaPakka · 30/01/2014 14:35

My DDs have names like that, in that one starts with the same syllable that the other ends with. It's never been a problem. You'd never be running the names together. Even if you were calling them both (to get their attention), you'd still have a break between. If I say "Megan, Anna", in my head, it sounds fine.

DorothyBastard · 30/01/2014 14:39

"Meganandanna" is a bit of a mouthful.

BigW · 30/01/2014 15:32

Sounds lovely to me! I don't think it's a problem at all. Congratulations!

Writerwannabe83 · 30/01/2014 17:04

My niece is called Megan and she's GORGEOUS!!
One of my favourite girl's names is Anna Smile

Go for it!!! Smile

UriGeller · 30/01/2014 17:11

Megan'n'Anna? Just say Anna and Megan.

Chelseylou · 30/01/2014 20:23

Ye Megan and Anna is a mouthful just say them other way round x

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/01/2014 20:49

Sorry to buck the trend, but I don't think they work together. Most people naturally put the older child's name first when saying both.

BabyMummy29 · 30/01/2014 20:51

They're both nice names

Wordsaremything · 30/01/2014 21:47

Why does it matter what they sound like together? Isn't it better each name suits each dc?
