We've reached a stale mate in terms of names and could do with some fresh ideas. We can't have the following names due to them being taken already.

Sara
Bella
Isabel
Isabella
Olivia
Amy
Alice
Poppy
Imogen
Jessica
Hannah

We both agree on Hermione but I'm not 100% sure it's right for us. We also have a double barrelled surname starting with L two syllables then an S with one syllable. So names starting with an L might be a bit of a mouthful although I like Lara. I also prefer a name that can't be shortened iykwim.

TIA.

I'd go for something else French that works here too, like Marianne or Juliette

We're not sure we want to go with another French name, we don't actually have any French heritage on either side. Dp likes Naomi, Sophie, Jasmine on that French list. Jasmine is my middle name so can't really go with that.

Really like Zara.

Savanah is also another we both agree on.

Erm... if Jasmin is your middle name surely that gives you a better reason TO use it. It's only this generation who have shied away from naming kids after their parents

Sophie is nice with Amelie, used in England and France. Love Lara and Zara too. Or maybe Livia if not too near Olivia for you. Or Florence sounds beautiful with Amelie.

Florence
Pearl
Violet

Thanks for all the suggestions, do keep then coming. Dp loves Sophie. I prefer Sophia. Although that name has been taken already. Livia is far too close to Olivia, Dp's niece.

Zara and Lara are now in the NO list. Pearl was on my top five for Dd1.

Not overly keen on Daisy. Only reason being I see it a nice name for a child but a little too cutesy for an adult.

Dp said in response to a name last night "my dad wouldn't like that name" Hmm I don't need to tell you the response he got!

My sister is a Daisy and I have to say she rocks it as an adult. I like it more now than i did when we were growing up.I understand what you mean but it honestly does work on an adult!
