HELP!!
Im due in 3 weeks and we are still at logger heads over a name.
My partner has a Greek side (his father is Greek and he has Greek siblings living over there), so when naming our first child I beared this in mind because of the Greek surname.
Our son is called Alexandros but known as Alex. So he has the Greek name with a the english twist.
We wont to do the same for a 2nd child, another boy.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

2 names suggested that I like and think fit with Alex are Leonidas (Leon for short) and Evanidos (Evan for short) but my partner doesnt like them :-(

We would be happy with either Greek or Polish (I have polish blood).

I have searched nearly every naming site on Google but to no avail.

Thanks in advance

I keep reading Adam Ant in Adamantios, so dislike it for that.

Christianos? Chris.

I know a Nikos, who goes by Nik around most English speakers.

Just wanted to comment as it's so odd. I'm part polish and my husband is Greek! We went for a full Greek name and very English middle name in the end but was having similar thoughts.

I actually think lots of people are AVOIDING George at the moment as they think it'll be really popular. So my vote is George. I don't think it'll have too much of a spike.

NigellasDealer · 20/01/2014 20:59

oh yes Jerzy/Giorgios/George - good one!
