Yay or nay? I loved it in the What Katy Did books!

We have compromised on Emily but I'm worried she'll be one of loads jib her class. I also like Cara but DH doesn't Sad

Opinions and suggestions welcome!

nay for me (or rather moo Wink) as I find it a bit too cow associated.

Emily is nice, I don't think it's that common at the moment actually.

Cara is a fabulous name, work on DH!

randdom · 15/01/2014 23:34

Personally I love it!

Picturesinthefirelight · 15/01/2014 23:35

I immediately though of What Katy Did.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/01/2014 23:36

Yay from me.

(but if you have another DD avoid Flora...)

LCHammer · 15/01/2014 23:36

No, too weedy.

lottiegarbanzo · 15/01/2014 23:37

I'm afraid it does say large herbivorous animal to me.

Really like Clara and Cleo though...

fuzzyduck234 · 15/01/2014 23:51

Nay from me as well sorry! IMO it isn't really a name that will suit an adult! If you really like it what about a MN?

annielewis · 15/01/2014 23:56

No. Immediately thought of a cow or butter. Emily is lovely. Cara will likely be v popular thanks to Cara delevigne.

WhenWhyWhere · 16/01/2014 00:05

Clover gets a no from me, sorry. It makes me think of the plant rather than a girls name. I like other 'plant' names like Jasmine and Rose as I know them as girls names as well as plants. IYSWIM

IHeartKingThistle · 16/01/2014 00:08

Love it. I taught a lovely Clover once.

superlambanana · 16/01/2014 15:39

Mixed so far then!

Lottie I love Clara too but DH thinks it sounds old fashioned Hmm He is rather narrow minded and thinks anything uncommon is just plain weird. I don't want to force him but I think he needs to be more open minded!

Ehm… not after reading and watching The Hunger Games...

Rhubarbgarden · 17/01/2014 14:37

Absolutely love it. Would have used it for dd but doesn't work with our surname. How about Fern?

gruffalosfriend · 17/01/2014 14:43

Clover sounds masculine and cowlike to my ears. Isn't there a butter called clover too?

Cara is lovely!

Shockers · 17/01/2014 14:44

Love it.

I'd be concerned about people singing the butter adverts to her though.

jamtoast12 · 17/01/2014 14:44

Clover instantly makes me think of butter sorry! What about Cary's or iris?
