I wouldn't because of Myra. His peers won't care but it'll be the first thought of most adults.

Huxley?

BunnyLebowski · 07/01/2014 15:41

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shock Shock

Don't do it OP. So many fan names in the world, there is just no need to give him a name that will burden him like that.

Plus it's awful even without the Myra connection.

MarianneBrandon · 07/01/2014 15:53

My first thought was Myra Hindley

BunnyLebowski · 07/01/2014 15:53

I meant fab not fan. Stupid autocorrect.

sooperdooper · 07/01/2014 15:54

I thought of Wuthering Heights first, but yes, many people will think Myra

namechange74 · 07/01/2014 15:55

nooooo! don't do it!

Riprap63 · 07/01/2014 16:06

FGS, you had to ask.

shey02 · 07/01/2014 16:16

I'd also think not, how about Harley! :)

UriGeller · 07/01/2014 16:21

It'd be like calling your son Adolf. Nothing wrong with the name but bloody grim associations.

Heathcliffe?
Hunter?
Henderson?

Frontdoorstep · 07/01/2014 16:24

The first thing people will think is Myra Hindley. Of course you could use the name but I think people will find it very strange.

Onesleeptillwembley · 07/01/2014 16:24

You could. But it would be a twatty thing to do. Even without Myra Hindley it's just awful as a name.

PissesGlitter · 07/01/2014 16:27

Are you serious???

NeedABoysName · 07/01/2014 16:34

Ok, you have convinced me! It will not be used! Tbh, I do really like the sound of the name and for ages my only worry was that Hindley in Wuthering Heights was a horrible character. Seriously, I did not think of Myra for AGES. Clearly I am weird and it is the first thing everyone else would think of. Obviously I will not do this to my son. Right, thanks all. And especially TooTryHard - Huxley is a good suggestion.

Henry?

PeterParkerSays · 07/01/2014 16:55

Please not Huxley. Maybe I'm an uncultured swine but I think Pig rather than Aldous.

Onesleeptillwembley · 07/01/2014 17:08

Yes, Huxley would be great. He would love the kids singing 'Where've you been today, Huxley Pug, oink oink'.

Kneedeepinshittynappies · 07/01/2014 17:12

Hedley? Did I just make that u though Shock

SS3J · 07/01/2014 17:19

What about Harley or Hadley. Which pig is called Huxley? Never heard of one!

colditz · 07/01/2014 17:22

Call him Maybe?

BabyMummy29 · 07/01/2014 17:22

No - immediately thought of Myra Hindley.

I don't like "made-up" names, unless it had some family connection.

PeterParkerSays · 08/01/2014 09:11

Huxley pig is a cartoon character on TV

hawkmcqueen · 08/01/2014 10:25

Henley?

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 08/01/2014 10:33

Huxley Pig was a 1980's/1990's cartoon. I admit, whenever anyone on here suggests the name I do hear the theme tune in my head Grin.

Although, again, this is only something adults may think of. The peers of any baby born today won't have heard of Huxley Pig.

I quite like the sound of Henley - although, am not 100% sure if I could use it with the Henleys clothing brand about.
