It's very early days but I'm in the mood for thinking about names this morning! Too early to know if we're having a boy or a girl (and we probably won't find out in advance anyway) but I would like your suggestions for girls' names that will work in French and English, as dh is French (I'll do a boys' names thread another time!).

So, any ideas?

British sisters I know with a French dad and German mum born in London:
Brigitte
Francoise
Louise

Severine. It was vetoed for me so you can have it Grin
Fabienne
Celeste
Sabine

I suspect these are all old-fashioned names in France but they sound great

I LOVE Élodie. Sadly it won't go with our surname otherwise it'd be my no.1. Chloe also works well in both.

My DD knew a french girl through hockey called Xenia, very original but quite fun as well she though!

Emeline is a favourite of mine. I have a friend with that name who gets called Mimie usually.
