Title says it all! Which spelling would you go for? I like one and DP likes the other. Middle name may well be Robert and big brother is Jacob, and if you hate it suggestions please! We are struggling. Thanks Smile

Fraser is lovely!

KristinaM · 12/12/2013 23:07

Fraser

AmIGoingMad · 12/12/2013 23:10

Fraser

KristinaM · 12/12/2013 23:11

But Fraser is a name for an energetic little boy with boundless energy. Frasers climb trees and get muddy. Not the right name if you expect him to be a quiet delicate child.

candycrushhater · 12/12/2013 23:13

Fraser - but I'm biased Grin

MrsSpencerReid · 12/12/2013 23:16

Kristina, if he is anything like his brother that will fit perfectly!!Grin DP is delighted the consensus is to use a S not a Z, damn you all Smile

Just to go against the grain...I know a Frazer. Lovely name, lovely boy.

I thought that with the Z was the Scottish spelling, if that makes any difference...?

Froblawd · 12/12/2013 23:23

I have a cousin called Fraser (Scottish) I've always thought they spelling looked less harsh.

No, Scottish Frasers that I know (3 of them!!) are all Fraser.

OTOH English colleagues of one always mis-spell it Frazer which gives him the rage!

Fraser is MUCH nicer.

KristinaM · 13/12/2013 09:36

In 2012 there were 122 babies called Fraser in Scotland and only 10 Frazers

Fraser, I'm Scottish and it's my ds's name, I also know a couple of others and none of them are spelled with a z.
Excellent choice OP Grin

puntasticusername · 13/12/2013 10:35

Ah right, I'm clearly entirely wrong about the Scottish spelling! Sorry.

lostdomain · 13/12/2013 10:39

Fig, I thought that was Frasier.

Great name (in the family too, and he is a real outdoorsy, sporty six foot four gorgeous creature.)

SootikinAndSweep · 13/12/2013 10:39

Fraser. The z spelling looks like it's been chosen via auto correct (realize, specialize etc).

It's a lovely name.

squoosh · 13/12/2013 11:31

Definitely Fraser. The Z looks too jaggedy.

Frazer also reminds me of a blokey nickname, Frazer, Razer, Deano and Knuckles

HyvaPaiva · 13/12/2013 11:36

Fraser is the Scottish version. I've only seen Frazer as a surname spelling. And the 'z' is harsh. It makes me say it more sharply too, fraze-er rather than a softer (nicer) fray-ser.

I had no idea how many mispronunciations we'd get when we called our DS Fraser, it seemed a name that couldn't go wrong but we get Frasier a lot.

KristinaM · 13/12/2013 14:34

You need to move to Scotland Cecy Xmas Smile
