S'all right. :) So long as you don't spell it Thizbe (yes I do know someone whose name is Thizbe)

louloutheshamed · 10/12/2013 16:10

i have taught too many hilarious lessons to y8 boys pretending to stab themselves screaming 'die Thisbe die' to take it seriously I'm afraid!

Thumbnutstwitchingonanopenfire · 10/12/2013 16:12

Also, not if your surname is Wall. Or if you already have a Pyramus.

PandaG · 10/12/2013 16:12

Makes me think of Bottom et al in Midsummer Night's. Couldn't take it seriously. Sorry

GwendolineMaryLacey · 10/12/2013 16:12

You know she's going to be called Frisbee, right?

MolotovCocktail · 10/12/2013 16:13

Too much like Frisbee for my liking. Nah.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 10/12/2013 16:14

Gah.

Fine.

Immediately made me think Frisbee.

I thought you'd decided on names :)

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 10/12/2013 16:18

Nup.
She's arrived and none of them suit her.

The ones I like DP doesn't and the ones he likes I don't. Sad

The story is just treated so crudely by the mechanicals in msnd that it feels like a comedy name. Circe and phoebe have a similar feel without seeming a joke name.

Thumbnutstwitchingonanopenfire · 10/12/2013 16:21

Oh, what had you come up with so far? And what does she look like then?

ChicksyBurtVonnugget · 10/12/2013 16:22

Congratulations! Let us know what you decide, or if you want any more suggestions!

RFLmum · 10/12/2013 16:23

Charis? Hermione? Esmeralda? Beatrix? Persephone?

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 10/12/2013 16:23

Hang on,I'm going to start another Fred....

Actually Phoebe would go very nicely with your other two names. :)

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 10/12/2013 16:36

No,it's far to popular.

I know a Thisbe and it is gorgeous! Don't think the mum regrets it at all, often gets comments on how pretty it is.

FrumiousBandersnatch · 10/12/2013 17:14

It's lovely as long as you're not in London. 'Fizzbee' is not so pretty.

Congratulations!

scaevola · 10/12/2013 17:18

If you like Thisbe, what about Mopsa?

NomDeClavier · 10/12/2013 17:51

Iphigenie? Nn Ginny. My DH won't let me have it.

Frontdoorstep · 10/12/2013 18:53

Sounds like frisbee, sounds like something said by someone with a speech impediment, I'm not even sure how you pronounce it anyway, please tell me?

Kveta · 10/12/2013 20:26

have met one, DS called her Frisbee the whole time.

Badvocatyuletide · 10/12/2013 20:33
