Name to go with Harriet

Due in a few days with DD1.

Harriet is pretty high up our list of girls names and one of the few we agree on.

Planning to use my Grandmas name as a "proper" middle name as she died earlier this year and I'd like to remember her ( although- and I hate to say this- I don't love the name).

I'd quite like to have another name to add to the Harriet- ie: Harriet-Rose but not 100% sold..

Any other suggestions for what might work with this?

We have a Harriet Louise which I like (great granddaughter) so I didn't choose it, but think it works)

Something to bear in mind is that Harriet often gets shortened. My Harriet is often Hatty or Hat. Hetty and Harry are other possibilities. She has a friend who is Hazza! I don't know how these would work with a hyphenated name, but you might want to think about the different permutations.

I had a great aunt called Harriet Ann.

Harriet Imogen

StackOfFuckers · 27/11/2013 15:28

Bluechampagne my dd1 is Imogen and dd2 is Harriet Grin

My Harriet is Harriet Elizabeth, but we also considered Beatrice as a middle name

StackOfFuckers · 27/11/2013 15:29

And we nn most of the time as Hattie

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/11/2013 15:29

Mine is Harriet Caroline. She never gets it shortened outside the home, at school she is always Harriet.

I love Hattie as a nn.. Less keen on Harry but I am guessing you have little influence on these things as they go to school etc..

Harriet Grace is a definite contender. Imogen is another name we're really keen on so that's also a possible although I don't know if the two together are a bit "bulky"?

Such a relief to finally have a name we're both keen on with 2 days to go!

Thanks all

I think Harriet Imogen is a good combo and certainly not "too bulky".
