I love Meredith and my best friend's little girl has it as a name. It doesn't get shortened, not because her Mum would dissaprove of it getting shortened though. I love Merry as a nick name too though.

Good name. I have a Meredith, loads of people comment on what a nice name they think it is . She was Merry when she was small but is morphing into a Meredith now she's school age.
