Nîna
Tara
Sera
Roza
Mîna
Zehra
Kilda
Sara

Ariyan
Soran
Rosan/Rusan
Ardan (Arden?)
Zéraven
Aran
Loran
Rodî
Reuben (technically Reben, but prefer this)

DH/I aren't exactly sure. These names are from my country of origin, and DH has 1/2 heritage from their too. We don't want names which are TOO different, or names which just wouldn't work in English (for example, I've a cousin called Ferhat, and a male relative called Hana- perfectly fine names, but only inside the country!) . WDYT? If you don't like a name, but there are similar British names, could you suggest some? Thanks in advance!

I love Mina for a girl, and Loran from your boys list, I'd avoid Airyan due to similarities to the 'aryan race' (sp?)

Oops, sorry, didn't even think about Ariyan/Aryan. Will cross that off the list. Might add Aaron to make up for it.

Well I'm not much help because I was going to say they're all great but would avoid Mina (as it sounds like either Mean-er or Miner to me) and Loren for a boy as it sounds like the girl's name!

From your girls list I especially like Sera and Zehra and for boys Aran and Ardan are cool, strong and unusual - I also love Zeraven, possibly because z and v are such great letters to have in names Smile

Nina, Tara or Mina
Arden, Rodi or Arron/Aaron

Your girls names are all beautiful :) From the boys list, I like Soran, Aran and Zeraven. I like Ardan too but depending on whereabouts in the country you are, it might sound a bit like 'Ard on. How about Alban?

TwitTwooShoe · 01/11/2013 12:44

Alban sounds great. I think he could have the nn Albie?

Hmm, thinking about it, for where we are, it would be more said as ard-un, but ard-on is a definite worry, especially if we ever moved. Thanks. Smile

Reuben or Sara would be my choice.

Also like Zara.
