SoupDragon so people who call their child Frankie or Jack are cruel? What's wrong with using a holiday as inspiration. People use Holly and Ivy at Christmas, and names like April May and June in their respective months

Because a child born on Halloween called Frankie is going to get the piss ripped out of them. It's hardly the same as Holly or Ivy is it? It is also nothing like calling a child born in March "Frankie"

SoupDragon I really don't understand the difference between a Christmas and Halloween inspired name.

I have a Meg and have never even thought of it being a Halloween name. Shes a Christmas baby, anyways, so that helps but even if she were born 31st Oct id never have made thw connection.

Halloween baby names reference the holiday and all things spooky.
