Any views? I like both :)

I like both names but prefer Charlotte.

DramaAlpaca · 25/10/2013 21:49

Charlotte is nice. I don't like Lauren, prefer Laura.

SatinSandals · 25/10/2013 21:51

Charlotte

Tikkamasala · 26/10/2013 00:34

Charlotte. Lauren already dated IMO

MrsCDNinUK · 26/10/2013 04:57

I'm partial to Lauren as my DD(1) is Lauren. I just think it's such pretty, classic name. Charlotte is nice too.

Driz · 26/10/2013 05:13

Both very very boring

Chottie · 26/10/2013 07:01

Lauren as more stylish IMO have you considered spelling it Lorren or Laurenne to make name a little more special?

SatinSandals · 26/10/2013 07:46

I adore 'boring' names.

SatinSandals · 26/10/2013 07:47

I am very thankful that my parents gave me one and didn't try being 'original'.

SatinSandals · 26/10/2013 07:49

And at least spell them correctly. The very worst is someone who tries a different spelling and gives the poor child a lifetime of having to spell it and explain that 'yes their parents could spell, they intended to do it differently'.

BikeRunSki · 26/10/2013 07:51

Lauren, I have an irrational dislike of Charlotte. I do appreciate that I am in the minority and it is otherwise universally adored.

BikeRunSki · 26/10/2013 07:58

Lol at boring names. I once shared a flat with a Sam. He said that every time he had to give anyone his name - interviewers, restaurants, girls in clubs, football team mates - he thanked his parents for giving him a well known, easy to understand, easy to spell name. This was a revelation to me as I've been spelling out my first name and surname all my life! Ten years later when I was pg with ds we found 9 generations of Samuels in DH's family tree prior to FiL. DS was Samuel from his 20 week scan!

Littlecherublegs · 26/10/2013 10:43

Lauren - lovely name and less popular than Charlotte.
I don't actually mind Charlotte but dislike Charlie and Lottie.

mathanxiety · 26/10/2013 10:51

Lauren -- I think Charlotte sounds very formal and should be preceded by 'Lady', 'Princess' or 'Queen'.

Or how about Laurel?

Ra88 · 26/10/2013 10:53

Can't stand Lottie !

Lauren 100%

Wishfulmakeupping · 26/10/2013 12:53

I don't like Charlie as nn either but be prepared as much as you push for one nickname you could end up with another

Still18atheart · 26/10/2013 12:56

Charlotte.

More classic and nicer nn imo

Alisvolatpropiis · 26/10/2013 13:09

I have never known a Charlotte the nickname Lottie,I've met a fair few.

SatinSandals · 26/10/2013 16:34

I know 2 Lotties, one aged 24yrs and one aged 7 yrs, 1 Char aged about 60yrs and 3 Charlies.

squoosh · 26/10/2013 16:44

Lauren is a bit 90s but I think I prefer it to the prim Charlotte. I'm sure Charlotte will be the much preferred name on here though.

Lottiedoubtie · 26/10/2013 16:50

Charlotte NN Lottie

funnyflowersky · 27/10/2013 13:55

Lauren is much better. Charlotte is quite boring and there are loads of them.
