Which middle name goes best with Daisy

Me again!! Been posting obsessively the past fortnight. We have decided on Daisy for dd's name & were pretty much decided on Nora(family name) for middle name. However my mom also suggested Eleanora as a pretty way of combining an aunt & Grandma. Which sounds best

Daisy Nora
or
Daisy Eleanora?

I'm kind of swaying towards the latter. Both sound fine with our sirname.

For what it is worth, I like the second option. Daisy Nora reminds me of "ruddy nora" or "crickey nora" and other such variants that are mild forms of cursing used hereabouts. Eleanora is nice name!

Thanks Boardingblues, I am starting to really like Daisy Eleanora, Dh isn't convinced, thinks it may be slightly ott but I still have a bit of time to work on him!

Awful daughter its after growing on me so much, don't like Eleanor nearly as much.... Any other opinions? Maybe it is slightly frilly?

Tbh I don't really think either go but would choose

Daisy Eleanora

However I think Daisy Eleanor is better.

busylizzie76 · 23/10/2013 21:07

Daisy May
Daisy Anna

YummyMummybee · 23/10/2013 21:24

Thanks for the suggestions but definitly using Nora/Eleanora as middle name as its a family name:)

I think Daisy Nora is absolutely lovely, and the two syllables in each name balance them out. I think the fact that Eleanora is longer than Daisy makes it awkward to pronounce.

Nora is a LOVELY name. Go with Daisy Nora, def!

Daisy Eleanora

Rtfairy · 24/10/2013 20:47

Daisy Eleanora. Good choice, I'm having a possible Daisy too Smile

christine44 · 24/10/2013 20:49

Jane it sounds like Daisy Chain

YummyMummybee · 25/10/2013 00:02

Aaaah thanks a million, yes prefering Daisy Eleanora however another family name has been thrown into the mix now, dh's beloved uncle George so now he's suggesting Daisy Georgia or Daisy Georgina so now its

Daisy Nora

Daisy Eleanora

Daisy Georgia

Daisy Georgina

I think Daisy Georgina actually sounds quite nice, its not as whimsical as Daisy Eleanora?

RTfairy best of luck with your possible Daisy!!!

Daisy Georgina sounds lovely, I think that's my favourite of the options above Smile

looki · 25/10/2013 09:18

I'd go with the second option because DD has a short first name, second name and third name and I now regret not giving her a longer second name as her name seems somewhat insubstantial when I say it aloud.

JoJoManon · 25/10/2013 14:43

Daisy Georgina

willyoulistentome · 25/10/2013 14:45

..please NOT Mae

Rtfairy · 25/10/2013 16:24

Thanks Smile

Daisy Georgina sounds even better x

NachoAddict · 25/10/2013 22:56

Daisy Eleanora

Mydelilah · 25/10/2013 23:04

I like Daisy Elanor. But Daisy May resonates nicely too

I think middle names should be family related - therefore don't have to be names you like for the sound/style, it's more about the sentimental reasons, giving your child a part of that family member iyswim? That's why DS ended up with Lionel as one of his middles names Wink

CommanderShepard · 25/10/2013 23:05

Daisy Georgina.

RussianBlu · 25/10/2013 23:13

I'm going to be a pain and say Eleanora Daisy myself. Sorry.

FriendlyElephant · 25/10/2013 23:26

I like Daisy Georgia best out of your choices.

Before I opened this thread my first thought was "ANYTHING but bloody May/Mai/Mae!" I knew somebody would suggest it. I reckon at least half of the baby girls born to people I know over the past five or so years have had some variant of May as a middle name, and I really wish I was exaggerating.

YummyMummybee · 25/10/2013 23:38

Thanks a million for all the opinions, we are going to go with Daisy Georgina. I know friendly elephant, May is completely overused not a fan at all. Daisy May is away too cutesy for our liking
