Would love to find a unique baby name with soft o sound like Mona or Chloe. Just can't find something that tickles my fancy and only 2 weeks to go! Any ideas??

Carolina?

Wow! What a gorgeous surname you have! Ok, my first thoughts are that - while the soft 'O' sound will sound lovely - it may be best to steer clear of an R (at the beginning) or S (in the middle) in any 2 syllable name as it will sound quite rhyme-y. A three syllable first name sounds fab.

Elodie de la Rosa
Persephone de la Rosa (ok, that's 4)
Ottilie de la Rosa
Violet de la Rosa
Imogen de la Rosa
Nicolette de la Rosa
Esmerelda de la Rosa (nn Esme) is incredible!!! No 'o' sound, I know.

I like names that are OTT. Grin

Dear lovely MNers... you are the best. Your name choices are beautiful. I love Odile and Esmerelda is fabu! Odette was also up there but DH vetoed it. I will pass both past DH. Hero is beautiful but it's out now that it's been 'Mylene-d'!

Right now our shortlist is Carmen (DH's choice) and Tessa (my choice) but we've reached a bit of an impasse. I'm not 100% sure about Carmen and DH thinks Tessa is too 'wet'. Baby due in 2 weeks so am starting to panic!

cheers...

Naomi de la Rosa
or
Fiona de la Rosa

sounds and looks good, nice and strong yet feminine. You got to think when she grows up :)

DropYourSword · 24/10/2013 14:50

Monique de la Rosa

Yika · 24/10/2013 18:26

I don't think Tessa goes well with your surname. Carmen is good, I like it. If you like Hero, how about Hebe? If you like Odile and Odette, how about Ophelia, Oriana or Olympia?

peachypips · 24/10/2013 18:32

Lèonie. My cousin is called it. Pronounced lay -oh-knee.

peachypips · 24/10/2013 18:33

Leonie De La Rosa sounds brilliant.

Ilona

williaminajetfighter · 24/10/2013 18:55

I like Ophelia. I will pass to DH for vetting. Hebe lovely but the name of sister of girl in DDs class.

I think I may name it after my pregnancy craving: Cola de la Rosa. Appropriate and has that nice 'o' that I was looking for!

If you like Marlo, how about Harlow or Arlo? sounds a bit daft all written together Hmm but the individual names are great.

PiratePanda · 24/10/2013 22:37

Anyone mentioned Chloe yet?

RubySparks · 24/10/2013 22:40

Roisin De La Rosa?
Oriana?

spiderlight · 24/10/2013 22:51

Rowan? Or is that too horticultural with Rosa?
