what do people think? it just came to me today

(btw am only 8+1 so a long way to go and obvs no idea what i am having yet :o )

I know a twenty two year old and a five year old called Hendrix, both are really nice, great name.

I also know a couple of boys called Dury.

I wouldn't do it, but it's quite cool.

DH was dead set on Zappa for about a week.

A big yes as a middle name.

Not sure if it's just a bit too much for a first name though.

No it's awful, sorry but if you must have it make it a middle name.

Like the poster above said its trying too hard to be cool! It's like patsy and Liam calling their son Lennon - really naff!!

I prefer it to Henry as I'm so bored with those boring names, but even so I'd be embarrassed calling out Hendrix in Tesco. I'm too conservative in my appearance (not views!) but you have to be a bit quirky to get away with Hendrix. JMO

Sorry, but I think it is terrible. It's the sort of name that 'celebs' who are trying to sound all 'way out and cool' would choose. Awful imho.

our other dcs have quite uncommon names as well, and dd is named after a song

I think it's cool, but I think it suffers a bit by ending in 'x' - it reminds me of Jackson>>Jaxon and other 'modern' names
Also, future child would be forever saying "yeah, Hendrix, like Jimmy... yeah my parents thought he was cool..."
However, in a similiar vein, I've been thinking about Cohen

Hendrix goes with Kingston but not with Zuma.
