Or a girl, if you're a man!

I'd have been Ross Lewis Surname.

It's interesting how a name (or potential name in this case) can be so 'of an era'. I reckon the ages of a lot of the posters here could be guessed approximately by their answers?! I'm seeing loads of what I would class as 80's names here!

Jason.

It was considered sophisticated and unusual in that particular year.

Stephen. She saved it for my brother anyway.

I was lucky to get the boring 70's name I got, she was desperate to call me Pamela, my dad vetoed it. No offence to any Pamela's out there but I am so not one and was more than happy at school to disappear behind the 5 other Sarah's in my class.

Bertie.

I like Elliot, but not too sure about Oswald (was that after O Mosley) it's a bit like Adolf.

A lot of Rorys - have you Welsh / Irish parents?

Andrew

So would have been 1 of four in my class

Instead I had a ridiculously common girls name so was one of 5!

Matthew John, then my younger sister would have been Matthew John, then the twins would have been Matthew and John but they were both girls. My mother only wanted boys Hmm

Gabriel. Then by the time they had my brother their best friends had just had a Gabriella so they felt they couldn't use it for him either.
