think we've finally decided on a girl's name, what do you think?

Sorry for another post, hopefully my last one. We've finally come up with a girl's name we both really like, please tell me you like it. Just need some reassurance Smile Of course, do say if you don't like it and why. Thanks!

We have an Imogen - she is 6 and lights up our world. We still love her name and so glad we chose it. she was very nearly a Erin but she definately is an Imogen.It is uncommon but not too unusual. An excellent choice!

I have an Imogen too, nn's- Imy, Midge, Imo & Moo, she answers to all of them! Beautiful name! Congratulations

thank you! Smile I'm a bit upset because I've just learned she would be sharing a name incl surname with a certain 'model' who's existence I was blissfully unaware of until now. Does that mean I can't use it for our little girl? Feel gutted as I was so happy we found something we both really love Sad

I wouldn't let that influence you - had never heard of that model till I googled just now. Focus on the fact that you both love it - and think of all the positive associations with the name that have been mentioned on here!

I love Imogen and my cousin has a beautiful 2 year old named Imogen Rose.It is a Shakespearean name. They shorten it to Ginny except for her uncle who insists on Immy.

Imogen is a lovely name. And I'm sure nobody will remember this model (whoever she is) is 5 years time. She is just one insignificant and untypical Imogen. I would associate it more with the Shakespeare character and maybe the actress Imogen Stubbs.

To let this put you off using the name you both love would be daft.

thank you all, and you're quite right Frange and Nadia, it would be silly not to go with it for that reason. Certainly people wouldn't dream of making fun of a little girl because she happens to share a name with someone like that. Besides which I can't face trying to come up with another name yet again at such short notice.
