Youme.
Spelled youme, said you,me.
I asked where it was from, parents said in unison 'she's a little bit of you and a little bit of me'.

This actually happened.

Youme had a sibling, answers on a postcard please!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I used to work with a lovely Japanese lady called Yumi.

What a shame they didn't think of something quirky for the 2nd child though.

Solarbaboon · 10/08/2013 16:57

I quite like it too

I was at school with a Japanese girl called Yumi too - short for Yumiko, both of which I think are very pretty Japanese names.

But it's a shame for any following children because they'll also be (hopefully!) a little bit of both parents and they'll have not have that celebrated in their name.

Unless it's called Himher. Or Herhim. Or Meyou. Oh blimey - they could name 3 more kids with variations on this theme. ShockGrin

Aww I was hoping the sibling was called Usan'all (us an' all/us as well) :o

Lolling Soon.

ChippingInHopHopHop · 11/08/2013 00:21

Are you actually serious or is our collective leg being pulled - or were they pulling your leg? Surely no-one with all their marbles would call a child Youme.

caramelwaffle · 11/08/2013 00:25

Yumi is lovely.

Youme is feckin' awful.

TotallyPaninied · 11/08/2013 20:16

I think it's a bit self important on the parent's side. Why do they need to gloat their yucky love through a child's actual name? It might as well have been called 'wedidthehibbidydibbidywinkwink'

JazzAnnNonMouse · 11/08/2013 22:50

Serious as serious can be!!

What was the sibling's name? Put us put of our misery Smile

Rhubarbgarden · 11/08/2013 23:44

The house next door to us when I was little was called Erzanmine. As in, Hers and Mine. Maybe this family are related.

BrianTheMole · 11/08/2013 23:47

Yumi is good. Shame they didn't spell it like that.

JazzAnnNonMouse · 12/08/2013 21:57

Sister called Kate.
