LOVE Kitty....I think I may do a whole other thread on that lol, it is moving up very high on the list (but just Kitty, I don't do the full name on the BC thing if I intend on only using the diminutive)

I like lizzie. Mil is Elizabeth nn Libby so I can't use it because she would think its after her (no way would I want her to think I think that much of her)

I think you can put anything on the bc. Who actually knows what's on there other than y and dh?

DBS gran was Maggie-Bella. Was meant to be Margaret Isabella but her father thought it was too posh for the daughter of a farmer.

I also like elspeth!

Posy is 'ok' just don't call the next one Pip Grin

As a 'heads up' every second newborn I meet at the moment is called Martha.

Kitty reminds me of the old TV program 'The Sullivans' :) Haven't thought about that in years!

Grin my dd2 is Kitty though in the same way that my Lizzie is Elizabeth, Kitty is Catherine. I do regret not spelling her name, Katherine though.

garlicagain · 02/08/2013 18:58

There was a Kitty in the family, too, Chipping :)

I do like Connie - the Connies I've known have been strong characters - but my aunty Constance was all ramrods and cat's-bums!

I missed out Janet. All my Janets have been truly sterling women & girls :)

Polly

WhyMeWhyNot · 02/08/2013 19:19

My grannies names were Iris and Florence. Love them both.
