Some Scandinavian names: Sigrid, Berit, Britta, Fenja.

Just found Fenja and think it is seriously fab, DS was nearly Frida but I think Fenja would have topped it.

louisianablue2000 · 29/06/2013 20:41

Should point out, DS would have been Frida IF HE WAS A GIRL. I blame the beaujolais.

Yy to the poster who suggested Ghislaine.

And Garance is great too. Miuccia after Miuccia Prada - amazing, creative, intellectual woman.

You mention Cirscee Hyperhelpmum, I don't know if you've watched the film 'My Neighbour Totoro' but there is a little girl character called Satsuki, Pronunciation, Sá-ts-kí which I like.

morethanpotatoprints · 29/06/2013 21:15

I must be getting old, some of these names are just ridiculous. does anybody think about the poor child and how pretentious and laughable they sound. Do you all live in the South?

Nonotthatagain · 29/06/2013 21:16

Matya

MadBusLady · 29/06/2013 21:22

morethanpotatoprints, the OP asked for names she had never heard before. Not names we all think should be more popular, or names we're all imminently planning on giving our children, or a name she can use right this minute because she's at the Registry Office and it's deadline day. Hard to see how to fulfil the brief of the thread without coming up with some pretty out-there names.
