Having two DC with 'e' sound at end of the name

We are expecting our third DS in a few weeks and really struggling with names.

The only name DH and I agree on is Henry.

Our two other DSs have full names that can be shortened. My eldest DSs name is Oliver (normally called Oli).

Am I overthinking this or is Oli and Henry too similar sounding?

I've asked two close friends / family IRL and they also said the same. DH thinks the same too.
Just that nagging doubt that it would have been nice to have three very different names, just we don't have any plan Bs.
I hate thinking of baby names!

Just to clarify - the few people I've asked agree with you, that I am overthinking it!

Both my DS's have names ending in an ee sound (actually a y at the end in both cases). I like it.

I wouldn't use Henry with Oliver only because Henry is so crazily overused right now!

And actually Oli and Henry is a bittoo twee for me, like having Millie and Molly.

I love Henry! Just lovely and I dont think its an issue with the other name. Go for it!

Definitely over thinking. All three of mine have names ending in 'ee' - at least the shortened versions. All two syllables too. And the girls even have the same first consonant! Not a problem and hasn't been fr all of the 20 years so far.

Whats more of a problem is the same first initial on the mail for DH and DS!

I definitely wouldn't see it as a problem, I think Oli and Henry sound nice together and I love both names. They both have an 'ee' sound at the end but are very different sounding names.

I love both names but couldn't have them - too many Olivers in the family already, and DH didn't like Henry .

Have tried to pm. I think they work together, not that similar sounding at all.

I like them together, and also, i have a cousin henry and he either gets called 'H' or henners, so it wouldnt necessarily rhyme with oli anyway

Oli and Henry do sound different, as their vowel sounds elsewhere are different.

Henry can be shortened to 'Hal' or 'Hank'*, so the names could end up very different (not that they are particularly similar to begin with).

People think this is American, but it is actually short for the medieval 'Henkin'*.
** Don't call your baby Henkin.

BTW, the only other thing putting me off is the nickname Hank!
