Lovely

MrsMagpieCovetsShinyThings · 12/06/2013 20:41

It's a gorgeous name but I think of LOTR every time I hear it.

MadeOfStarDust · 12/06/2013 20:42

A lovely Welsh name - or is he a Lord of the Rings fan...?

MadeOfStarDust · 12/06/2013 20:42

Oops didn't mean to post twice!

ClaraOswald · 12/06/2013 20:46

Lord of the Rings fan.

dementedma · 12/06/2013 20:50

He has a son called Reuben. He is a LOTR fan and his wife wouldn't let him call Ds Aragorn!

ClaraOswald · 12/06/2013 20:51

Thank goodness for that!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/06/2013 20:51

Fine - I would think he was a fan of LOTR. Have heard much worse.

cherhorowitz · 12/06/2013 20:59

Gorgeous name. I do think LOTR but still beautiful

Elquota · 12/06/2013 22:06

It's nice.

flatmum · 12/06/2013 22:15

I think it's a really nice name. The LOTR associations will have died down by the time she's at school

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 12/06/2013 22:45

Not so sure about that flatmum, what with it being a classic book. But agree it's a pleasant name.

Fifi2406 · 13/06/2013 00:22

I think it's beautiful and wouldn't care about The Lord of the rings association a nice name is a nice name IMO Smile

IAgreeCompletely · 13/06/2013 00:30

I like it.

SgtTJCalhoun · 13/06/2013 01:38

It was on my list but ex vetoed it Sad

MadeOfStarDust · 13/06/2013 08:11

We are over near the Welsh border and there are lots of Arwens.... Some are just Arwen, some use it as a diminutive for Arrianwen so here Welsh origins would be my first thought - then LOTR

GibberTheMonkey · 13/06/2013 08:49

Are they dark? Because in the welsh it means fair or similar

squoosh · 13/06/2013 11:23

I don't like it at all, sorry. It's a bit lumpen.

GW297 · 13/06/2013 15:35
