Just that - after much discussion I think we've settled on Emily-Jayne or Emilie-Jayne for Dd2 (unsure on which spelling!?) Just wanted to gather opinions as a friend told me today she considered Emily very "prim" and a bit "weak" sounding - she had no idea that it was our chosen name but am now starting to doubt myself Hmm All opinions/suggestions welcome!

My name is Emilie-Jayne and I love it, would recommend it for your child too. I would go for the ‘Emilie’ spelling to add a bit of difference to it. Emily is a really popular name there was loads at my school but none spelt their name Emilie, making me different from them all.

Emily Jane
No hyphen or y in Jane.
It is much classier

Emily Jane is a lovely name.

Amélie is the French version of Amelia - Émilie is the French version of Emily. French spellings (Emilie, Annabelle, Isabelle etc) are really fashionable at the moment. I prefer the English versions (unless you're French etc!) - the extra letters look a bit affected if you're still going to pronounce it like Emily, Isabel etc.

I would also Spell it Emily Jane. No hyphen and please no y in Jane. Wayne, Shayne, Jayne just NO.
This.
