I think the name Libby is fine on its own, love the name but i'm bias as we have a Libby-May we hyphered it because our surname ends in a b sound and it just didn't sound right. Her middle name begins with a J too, Jenny after her granny who died just before she was born.

If you love Libby and nothing comes close to it then just go for it. My sister never had any back up names. Found it too confusing!

I've always loved the name Libby either on its own or a nn. Don't worry too much about an alternative if you really love the one name. If it doesn't suit her when she's born I'm sure something suitable will present itself

Hi I have a Libby Louise she is 17 and although normally just Libby, as a family we often call her Libby Lou or Lou Lou etc. She has a twin Amy Rose. Both girls have always liked their names although Amy would have liked to be an Aimee!

I have a Libby (full name 'Liberty') middle name Thea.
Have my own dilemma as my imagined 'Beatrix' or 'Tabitha' now transpires at a scan I had yesterday to be a boy!!! Shock
