I know a Rosalie and she would put me off personally but nice name if not.

ilovemykids5 · 17/05/2013 19:35

love Rosalie and Rosie

ISingSoprano · 17/05/2013 19:36

Rosanna?

qazxc · 17/05/2013 19:37

personally i prefer Rosalie, but all 3 are nice, and Rosie is a nice shortened version IMO.

These are on my hypothetical girls list to name a future child for Rosalind Franklin, her work contributed massively to the discovery of the structure of DNA. DH not fond and 90% sure DC2 due in 3 weeks is a boy but its still there.

I have a cousin Rosalie, nn Roz. I love Rosalie / Rosalind and Rosamund.

I am expecting twin girls and have used my best name on my first dd. I am also mooting Rosalie, Rosie and Rosamund, not keen on Rosemary, sounds a bit old lady-ish? Only thing with Rosalie is that it reminds me of gypsy rosalie, the fortune teller, although is it Rosie-Lee?!

McKayz · 17/05/2013 19:54

DD is Rosalie and we (obviously) love it!

KittenofDoom · 17/05/2013 20:00

They are all very adaptable names, giving plenty of elbow room for variations, and they're all pretty without being twee.

Gypsy Rose Lee is the character you're thinking of, beaches.

I used to work with a lady who's name was Roseangel. Always liked her name.
