A girls name to go with Polly

I have a daughter named Polly (age 3) and my second daughter is due in 5 weeks. Finding it difficult to choose a name. So far considering Isla, Josie, Harriet (Hatty for short), Anna and Arabella (Bella for short) but not sure any of these are quite right. We like them but do not love them as we do the name Polly. Any opinions/suggestions?

We have a Hattie and Polly was second on my list for DD2! I would have loved a little Pollyanna, but have a gorgeous Felicity instead!

Sukey?

I really love Polly, good choice. I know someone with a Polly and Nancy.

Hi Phoebe47,

congratulations and good luck with your name search

I love the names

Bella Elise or
Layla Addison

happy hunting

Thanks for all your great suggestions. I am thinking Harriet (Hattie for short) and DH is thinking Nina. I love both those names so we may go for Nina as DH not so keen on Hattie as I am. We will decide when she arrives.

Polly and Pippa.

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 13/05/2013 22:45

Margot and Polly. Or Frances and Polly (nn Frankie?).

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 13/05/2013 22:51

Out of your list I like Arabella. Polly and Arabella. I like Isla least - it is a faddy name that will date badly, whereas Polly is a classic albeit a bit of a quirky one. It is also a very English name, and I think whatever you pick should also be quintessentially English, hence the suggestions above. Another possibility: Rosa. Polly, Frances and Rosa would be a great sibset if you go on to have a third DD Grin

Also Constance (Connie), Prudence (Prue), Flora and Clara.

SleepyCatOnTheMat · 14/05/2013 08:28

P.S. I do really like the name Polly.

Emma, laura, Alice.

Polly is a lovely name. It used to be a nn for girls called Mary Ann.
