Elliot Rose. What do you think of this name for a girl? Also would you use 2 t's and 2 l's?

Some names are unisex. Not many, actually- and those that are are usually boy's names that people have used for girls - I think it's significant that it very rarely goes the other way- or "new" names that aren't traditionally associated with either gender.

Some aren't. John, for example. Or Susan.

It sounds wrong.

JassyRadlett · 12/04/2013 09:18

Seeker, true. But if you're having to prepare for a kid having to have the argument and insist it's unisex, I reckon it's probably not.

I love it and was thinking about it myself, but tbh my main concern was people's reaction to it (as has been shown here)! so pretty though!

seeker · 12/04/2013 09:27

Absolutely. Particularly if you have to say IT'S UNISEX! in capitals letters!

Chocoflump · 12/04/2013 09:30

I think Elliott is a boys name.

Dinosaurdrip · 12/04/2013 09:32

I apologise for the capitals. I appreciate that people are entitled to their opinions but I think in this day and age, when there are so many 'different' names out there and so many 'unisex' names out there there will not be so much nastiness.

I love Elliot for a girl, but am having a boy and am keeping it incase I have a girl next.

I was also going for a Girly middle name. Elliot rose is lovely.

I was preparing myself for some strange looks and opinions, but your baby your choice.
