Finding boys names impossible!

Please can you suggest some boys names for me!

my favourite by far is Amos but as our surname ends with a S it doesn't really work :(

I also Like but wouldn't use:

Walter - Someone would end up shortening it to Wally!
Nelson - Same as above but with Nelly.
Rowan - Don't like the fact that it's unisex
Jasper - looking at the stats in darkgreener it's clearly going to enter the top 100 soon.
Seth - Already too popular

If it helps my favourite girls names are Claudia, Saffron, Henrietta and Clementine.

How about Ezra? That has a similar feel to Amos and Seth...

BananaHammocks · 26/03/2013 07:40

Ezra is a bit too feminine sounding for me, I do seem to like bibilical type names though!

Caspar/Casper?

Not sure how popular it is..

Nospringflower · 26/03/2013 07:42

Saul?

Joel
Gideon
Ilan
Ariel
Jed
Tobias

Although unless your surname is Moss Grin (or possibly Ross) I don't think the -s ending would sound bad.
Amos Lewis or Amos Jones both sound fine, for example... however I think a name starting with S- may not flow too well!

Beatrixpotty · 26/03/2013 09:05

Amos is nice.2 of my boys have names ending in s and so does my surname,go for it if it is your favourite!

Walter could be Walt, not Wally?

What about Atom (hungarian name), I love that.

bigbluebump · 26/03/2013 11:02

I'd also think that Walter would be shortened to Walt, if at all. Also, Wally would be alot better than Willy (William/Will)!

LandofTute · 26/03/2013 11:03

I don't think Seth is very popular is it? I've never met any and i've met a lot of children!

Wishfulmakeupping · 26/03/2013 11:03

I was going to suggest Johan also.
Emmett is lovely

Wishfulmakeupping · 26/03/2013 11:04

There seem to be a lot of Seth's suddenly in east mids

bigbluebump · 26/03/2013 11:06

Seth sounds so lispy, sorry I don't like it at all.

CheeseStrawWars · 26/03/2013 11:07

I think Amos could go ok with some s surnames. Amos Stone for example works ok

What about:
Jared
Conrad
Otto
Rohan- is boys spelling compared to Rowan which is unisex
Lionel
Elijah
Benji
Ivo

moogy1a · 27/03/2013 09:31

Franklin?
bit biased as it's ds's name, but I love love love it.

seeker · 27/03/2013 09:35

Patrick

FossilMum · 27/03/2013 10:12

Rory
Alex

MERLYPUSS · 27/03/2013 10:18

Rohan can be pronounced Ro-harn. It is Asian. I dont like R names as my DS says W instead of R so Rohan would've been bad for him (was shortlisted)

forevergreek · 27/03/2013 13:15

Oh really, the 2 Rohans I know are from India and pronounce it 'row-an' still.

seeker · 27/03/2013 13:32

My nephew is half Punjabi and he is Rohan- pronounced Rowan,
