Names for twin girls

Starfish1980 · 25/03/2013 15:33

We are expecting twin girls in a couple of months.

We keep coming back to the name Grace for one twin, despite it being incredibly popular at the moment.

We also quite like Rose, Eva, Eve, Ada etc but nothing else seems to have stuck as much as Grace has.

Our surname begins with a vowel so names ending in 'a' can get a bit 'lost'.

Any ideas for classic names to go with Grace would be much appreciated, we would ideally shy away from anything too 'of the moment' and also would like to keep the name short so one poor kid doesn't have to worry about learning to spell something three times as long as her sister!

How about Caris? The personification of grace and beauty (apparently) :)

Or Thalia (one of the three graces)

Or Sian (god's grace)

Obvs always depends on how a first name sits with a surname before you can really decide.

Good luck with your decision! Grace is lovely. Think it is v popular as a middle name, but less so as a first name. It's beautiful. If you love it you will probably always wish you'd used it.

Love Grace and Honor as suggested above. It seems fitting to have another "Virtue" name. Hope also works well for same reason.
Other virtue names:
Faith
Charity
Verity
Amity
Felicity
Prudence
Clemency

I am a twin and was teh unexpected one. my parents had picked a name for my sister, and then i was born very unexpectantly ( no good scans back then) and so my mother said she was so exhausted nd in shock at having 2 babies, she just split the name for my sister in half and gave me the arse of it!! seriously!!!

I have twin cousins called Megan Aoife and Emma Louise.

Grace and Megan? both beautiful and soft names

We picked a name for dd which the year she was born was in the top five.

I've yet to meet another one. Sure I've heard it called in the supermarket and I know three adults with it as their first name but either east anglia doesn't reflect the name stats or it really doesn't matter

And Grace and Alice win my vote
