Put off this lovely name by Kardashian associations

Something classic, easily recognisable, pretty but 'staid' enough that it wouldn't be a hindrance in any serious job she may have.

My dd- 23 mths is Penny, was my mums name

Our 17 week old is called Penelope and only one person has ever mentioned any 'celebrity' connection. I had no idea that it had been used 'famously'. In a year noone at all will know. I am utterly biased but I think it is gorgeous - we had it picked long before we knew we wanted kids!

If we had another girl we would probably go for:

Amelia
Imogen
Charlotte

I adre Persephone - only heard of it on this site though and I know some people are a bit weird about it

I have no idea... I suspect many other people don't either.

Loads of good alternative suggestions on this thread, if you're genuinely that put off the name.
