What do you think? I know about the lame / blind thing but am not worried by it.

Claudia is a beautiful name and Claudie is a sweet diminutive.

I prefer the former choice, but I like both tbh.

williaminajetfighter · 23/02/2013 15:49

Cecilia. Claudia just too hard sounding. It shortens to Claude which sounds like a clod!

Allalonenow · 23/02/2013 15:54

Cecilia Maud is lovely.

NorthernLurker · 23/02/2013 15:56

Ooooh tricky. Would you shorten Cecilia to Cecy or Cissie? I thinki that's terribly cute.

flopsy1974 · 23/02/2013 16:06

Much prefer Cecilia Maud. Lovely name Smile

HyvaPaiva · 23/02/2013 16:07

I love both! Claudia Vivienne wins it, just.

Ruth22m · 23/02/2013 16:19

Claudia Vivienne!

lovely!

CruCru · 23/02/2013 16:20

I like Claudia shortened to either Claud or Claudie and Cecilia shortened to CiCi.

Claudia Vivienne! I wouldn't worry about the lame thing either-it was only on here that I heard it for the first time. I know two Claudia's under 10 and they are both lovely little girls

PipkinsPal · 23/02/2013 16:34

I like Claudia and Maud. Why have a second name if you can't decide? You only get called by one name anyway.

mumbaisapphire · 23/02/2013 16:42

Claudia Vivienne by a mile. Claudia is my first choice if this bump turns out to be a girl. I think together with Vivienne you have a very classy and sophisticated name. Cecelia for me is a bit prim and proper but not dislikable and Maud I find quite the opposite and just a tad frumpy. Sorry....!

KateShmate · 23/02/2013 16:47

Definitely Claudia Vivienne!
Really not keen on Maud, sorry. But Claudia Vivienne is just beautiful :)

CruCru · 23/02/2013 17:10

Pipkins - I think DH is keen that our kids have a second name. I don't think I can use Claudia Maud as both have the aud sound.

My Sister and I only have one name each as my Mother had trouble just coming up with the one. My Auntie suggested my name to my Mother as "she had always like it". She couldn't have liked it that much because she didn't name her three daughters (all older than me) with her "favourite name"!

Astley · 23/02/2013 17:47

Claudia Vivienne is lovely.

Sashapineapple · 23/02/2013 18:09

Claudia Vivienne is really lovely and wins it by a mile. Cecila is alright but Maud is horrible.

jollygoose · 23/02/2013 19:04

Maud! how could you

Beatrixpotty · 23/02/2013 19:22

Only one I don't like is Maud..so old lady.Others are all lovely.

Rhubarbgarden · 23/02/2013 19:30

Cecilia Maud. It's lovely. But I like both.

happyhorse · 23/02/2013 19:35

Maud is such an unattractive name. Claudia Vivienne is beautiful.

ladymia · 23/02/2013 19:36

Really like Claudia Vivienne.

Maud I don't like, it just sounds a bit like a 50 year old chain smoking woman pulling pints at an east end pub Hmm no idea why.

CruCru · 23/02/2013 19:56

I love Maud but DH hates it. It also doesn't really go with our surname as a first name (as we have a one syllable surname).

Love Claudia Vivienne and also love the name Maud, which I think is fab, classic but also off beat clunky, like wearing an evening dress with doc martens and making it look cool. I'm not a fan of cecilia though, possibly because its a horror if you have a lisp.

WormCanner · 25/02/2013 15:07

I was going to say about the lisp problem. Even if Cecilia herthelf (thorry) doesn't have a lisp, she is bound to encounter people who do.

Actually I think Claudia Maud has quite a ring to it! I do like Vivien as well, prefer it without the elongated French ending though. Less is more.
