What do you think for a boy?

Nice Scottish surname, don't mind it for a boy, quite normal in Australia, don't know about the UK (never heard it there except as a surname but have come across a couple now we're down under)

I live near Brodie so its a very popular name here obviously but its a nice name and one I'd consider if there weren't so many in our area :)

lucybrad · 23/02/2013 13:14

my neice is called Brodie.

OkayHazel · 23/02/2013 15:28

Surely it should be spelled Brody?

OkayHazel · 23/02/2013 15:28

Or am I thinking too American?

Ruth22m · 23/02/2013 16:25

very cute :)

Meringue33 · 23/02/2013 16:33

Too popular now and makes me think of the Homeland character

InkleWinkle · 23/02/2013 16:36

I know 3 little boys called Brodie, all under 5. Am in Scotland.

Gunznroses · 23/02/2013 16:41

Very nice. Reminds me of Brodie Jenner in "The Hills".

shesariver · 23/02/2013 16:45

Its lovely Smile

snice · 23/02/2013 16:49

i assumed it was a girls name as the only one I've met is female

Sashapineapple · 23/02/2013 18:11

Are you a Mallrats fan by any chance? Brodie is a cool name and reminds me of the film which is pee your pants funny.

2gorgeousboys · 23/02/2013 18:17

I know 2 baby boys born about 12 months ago with this name. I'm not keen but if you like it go for it.

mum47 · 23/02/2013 18:19

Yup, I know one Scottish Brodie - lovely name.

Looiloo79 · 23/02/2013 18:22

i like it :)

MoreBoober · 23/02/2013 18:23

My son is Brody and the only one we know. He's really suits being a Brody and is always complimented on his name. Grin

KhloeRye · 23/02/2013 18:29

hmmmmm i quite like it but prefer Sasha for a boy

Birthhippy9 · 23/02/2013 19:19

Not heard of Mallrats, maybe I ought to have a look...

It' a name that means a lot to us, although I'm unsure if it sounds masculine.....

We wanted to call DD2 Brodie but didn't due to awful surname. I love it for girl or boy but I'm a fan of unisex names.

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 23/02/2013 22:44

Oh it's definitely masculin and I love it.

Sashapineapple · 23/02/2013 22:46

Brody sounds like a boy. Spelt Brodie it seems a bit feminine

scarlettsmummy2 · 23/02/2013 22:47

Don't like it. It's a bit populist.

JollyYellowGiant · 23/02/2013 22:49

Quite common for wee boys in Scotland. Not so for girls.

Although I know a female one who's 16.

Dominodonkey · 23/02/2013 22:59

It's nice, unusual but not ridiculous.
