Hamish or Harrison...

I love both names. I love Harrison and nn Harry though the popularity does put me off. I love Hamish for no reason other than I just do. So far though i've had rolled eyes when mentioned. rMiddle name will be Edward.

Hamish.

Is this dc3 carrie?

Congratulations Smile

When are you due?

carrielou2007 · 17/02/2013 14:38

I like Harrison but I do not like the rhyming but of nn Harry but do love Harry Hmm. I love Archie and Hamish together, Hamish was the one I thought I would have the less favourable response to so Grin.

Yep Norma surprise dc3 I'm 32 weeks Smile

HAMISH!

(Just making sure that you got that, OPBlush)

Sunnysummer · 18/02/2013 08:31

Love Hamish! Or prefer Henry/just Harry to Harrison.

butterfliesinmytummy · 18/02/2013 08:38

I like Hamish, not Harrison. Somehow I always associate Hector with Hamish, but it sounds slightly less Scottish?

farmersdaugther · 18/02/2013 08:46

Hamish!!!

Brilliant outstanding wonderful amazing name! yes I'm a jock

Know a few Harrison, all called Harry.

ComradeJing · 18/02/2013 08:53

Hamish. All these names were on our shortlist and we chose edward as a middle name.

forgetmenots · 18/02/2013 12:00

Hamish by a mile. I love it, and Archie. Great pairing.

I've got a Harrison, nn Harry. I loved loved loved Harry but it was so popular at the time, we went for Harrison so he would have options. No other Harry's at his (quite large) nursery. I've had nothing but compliments in real life. If you love Harry just go for it. For us it just felt like 'his' name iyswim :)

Hamish also lovely though :)

ComposHat · 19/02/2013 14:54

Harrison- no please don't! Unless you plan on your son being the hero in a Jackie Collins novel, alongside Blake, Blaine et al

Hamish is okay if you are Scottish, otherwise it sounds a bit try hard and/or something you might call a Western Highland Terrier.

Henry? Then he can be known as Harry if he prefers it as a nickname.

mumtolilh · 27/04/2013 22:36

Harris x

Laquila · 27/04/2013 23:24

Love Hamish! Quite like Harris, don't really like Harrison (and think the latter will be horribly popular in a few years time)

Theonlyoneiknow · 27/04/2013 23:27

I loved Hamish but DP said no :-(

So yes for Hamish. What about Harris instead of Harrison? That was our choice if Dc2 had been a boy.
