Would be a middle name. I thought a flower name would be nice for a spring baby. (Am due in May)

I quite like Primrose but don't know if it's too, well, prim!

Fleur! I love that name! Grin

PrincessOfChina · 26/01/2013 20:37

Acacia.

I love it but DP says Bananaman.

Thanks for all the suggestions...some lovely names here!

It has been so cold here (-20, snow covering everything, wind that'll knock you down) that I'm really looking forward to spring! I've been looking at all kinds of flowery, bunny-bedecked things for the nursery too. :) All these flower names feel like a bit of sunshine.

Yes, Acacia = Bananaman. Sorry but it always makes me think of Eric! :) We have an Acacia Road near us and it always makes me smile. I think Eric lived on Acacia Drive.

A good spring flower is Tulip!

I went to school with a Sunflower.

MiniEggsinJanuary · 26/01/2013 23:38

I was going to suggest Fleur too!

Love the name Primrose, it's very cute, and the names others have suggested - Lavender, Jasmine and Rosalind.

Lilac? Margaret Lilac..
The DDs gave me a little tin of Pacifica lilac rub-on perfume for Christmas and I think of spring every time I pry it open.

Or would the Welsh Eirlys be too far out and unexplainable or unpronounceable? Eirlys is 'snowdrop'.

Zytka is Polish for rosebud.

Linnea? Popular in Scandinavia.

Aven - a small mountain flower.
