Florence because the others are all pretty awful.

What do you call a woman who can balance a pint on her head? Beatrix

Clementine is a fruit, so just as bad as calling her apple or banana.

Cordelia is too....poncy for me.

Permisson · 09/01/2013 13:28

Love Cordelia, stylish and underused. Was on my list for DD.

Clementine nice too, but what would it be shortened to?

Prefer Beatrice to Beatrix personally.

Florence is lovely but quite popular I think?

Bonsoir · 09/01/2013 13:29

Nice names.

I prefer Flora to Florence and Beatrice to Beatrix - I like softer sounding name.

Clementine is very pretty.

Cordelia is a bit OTT.

MrsMarigold · 09/01/2013 13:30

Florence = pretty
Beatrix = all right but Beatrice if you are English
The other two are ghastly although I know two Clementines

Heavywheezing · 09/01/2013 13:31

I think they are all lovely.

My great grandmother was called florence as was my great aunt.

I think I should have another baby to call her Florence.

BlissfullyIgnorant · 09/01/2013 13:33

Clementine; no woman was ever loved as much as Clementine Churchill. Beautiful name
Cordelia; also beautiful

Either of the above if they work with your surname. Remember to check initials work together...

Florence; very pretty (Florence Cameron)

Beatrix; (Potter - allegedly not a nice person) makes me think of Bellatrix LeStrange...

squoosh · 09/01/2013 13:36

Clementine.

Not a huge fan of the others.

They're all very DRAMATIC swooning Victorian maiden!

AmandaPayne · 09/01/2013 13:36

I'm not keen on Beatrix- though I like Beatrice. The others are lovely. Cordelia is my favourite.

squoosh · 09/01/2013 13:36

And the Florence Cameron link would put me right off that one.

DitzyDonkeySillyMonkey · 09/01/2013 13:38

Dramatic swooning Victorian maiden.....yep my style in a nutshell Grin

I like Beatrice, not Beatrix. Florence is lovely. Cordelia makes me think of the selfish mare in Buffy/Angel (tv series). Clementine - not keen. I prefer Clemency, sounds nicer and is posh version of Mercy Wink

squoosh · 09/01/2013 13:46

Oh yes, Clemency is quite nice.

DewDr0p · 09/01/2013 13:51

Is Clementine pronounced to rhyme with sheen or shine? It reminds me of the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (one of my favourite films).

I also prefer Beatrice to Beatrix, much prettier imho.

Love Florence but there are a few around if that bothers you.

Not at all keen on Cordelia, sorry.

3smellysocks · 09/01/2013 13:52

Florence and Clementine are stunning.

DitzyDonkeySillyMonkey · 09/01/2013 18:35

Oooh very mixed responses so far! It's so difficult to decide.

I loved Florence when pregnant but couldn't have it, three years on there are loads if that bothers you. Clementine is nice but depends on how its pronounced.

DitzyDonkeySillyMonkey · 09/01/2013 18:40

I would pronounce it Clemen teen I think

Prefer Beatrice

baskingseals · 09/01/2013 19:20

Cordelia is my favourite.

Onezerozero · 09/01/2013 19:24

I only really like Cordelia.

LemonBreeland · 09/01/2013 19:29

Clementine as that is what I wanted to name dd.

Overberries · 09/01/2013 19:31

I really like them all, such pretty names. I'd always liked Constance too as love the shortened Connie

SVN · 09/01/2013 19:36

We have a 5 year old Clementine and usually receive lots of compliments on how pretty and unusual it is.

I like all of the names on the list. Think Beatrix would win my vote though (after Clementine).

tilbatilba · 09/01/2013 19:37

Love the name Cordelia, Clementine is beautiful, Beatrice rather sweet, Florence my least favorite .

MarmaladeSkies · 09/01/2013 19:42

Cordelia is lovely.Florence is nice.

Clementine and Beatrix are awful.
