It's a girl! Let the naming begin - Rose or Nina?

So we found out we are having a girl to complement our DS1. So I can now thankfully put aside boy names and focus in girls names. Middle name will be Catherine.

Currently we have narrowed it down to Rose or Nina? My son is called George. Another option is Laura.

Your thoughts?

Nina would be my choice but it doesn't go with Catherine and rose does!

I love Rose and it isn't often found on its own-Rosie is more common. I dont like Nina but Laura is pretty too.

Not a fan of Nina, sorry. Although I am swayed by the fact I know a terribly annoying 'adult' Nina.
I like Rose and Laura is ok too. Think Rose goes nicely with Catherine too.

I really, really don't like Nina. It makes me think of ninjas and ninnies. And Nina and the Neurons. I can't find a single thing to like about it.

Laura is boring as previously mentioned (I know - I have very personal experience of this name).

Rose and Catherine are by far the best names here IMO!

DD is a Rose. People sometimes call her Rosie. I ignore it. At 2.5 she politely corrects them 'No I am actually Rose actually thank you'. So I really would not let that influence your choice.

But I like Nina too.

Nobody ever says the full name aloud do they? DD has no middle name, and neither do DH or I so I wouldn't know personally. But so long as you won't be hollering Nina Catherine in the park I don't think the name order business matters at all.

Rose goes with George better...both classic names for your DCs. Rose is ageless and stands the test of time. Nina reminds me of the 1980s / 1990s.

We have a Nina Rose! its a beautiful name. We do call her by both names frequently!

A good friend's daughter is Laura, I think it's a lovely name. Rose is good but too popular these days. FWIW I prefer Catherine Rose to Rose Catherine. Not fussed at all about Nina.

I love Nina, always makes me think of the wonderful Nina Simone :)

I love Nina but I think it's a "grown up" name. I adore Rosie.

Rose is way way too popular. Nina is cool and a bit retro. Go for Nina.

Lovely, simple, elegant and timeless. Well-known, but she'll be the only one in her class. What more could you ask for? I also think Nina Catherine, sounds much better than Rose Catherine.
