Jingle, you don't pronounce the 'P'. I think you mightn't like it so much a few years down the line. Especially if it is that popular and half the playground looks round when you call it!

I thought the same, medical condition. How do you pronounce it? I like a lot of Irish and Welsh names that are spelt different, but often look pretty. I don't think that even looks pretty. Sorry.

I know one who gets called Tolly, quite cute. I do think you need a strong character to carry it well, but that's just my opinion. There was an adult on the Westminster abbey programme called this, with a very English surname, and it did jar a bit. But it's hardly wacky, if you like it use it.

It's totally dire. The worst boy's name I've ever heard. But that's only my opinion. I've never heard of it either till I came on Mumsnet. Is it a netmums name.

I have one. DH's choice and it took 3 weeks before I agreed but I wouldn't change it. He is usually called Tolly and has a very sensible middle name that we use as an alternative nickname so he has options if he doesn't want to use it.
