Haha @ cory.
I don't like Elphaba at all.

Pasiphae · 29/11/2012 11:48

It's too linked with Wicked to be confortable to wear.

I have met a Belphoebe once, if that inspires you.

BlissfullyIgnorant · 29/11/2012 11:51

I'm sorry to say, I thought it included 'baba' - a little known Yorkshire word for poo.

PurpleTinsel · 30/11/2012 23:55

Did Elphaba exist as a name before Wicked was published?

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 01/12/2012 00:13

No. Much like Wendy from Peter Pan.

Dont worry - I wont inflict any future dds with the name.

Dds first and middle nanes are both from favourite childhood books so I feel like I should continue in that vein.

Oh I love it OP!

Lorna wasn't a real name until Lorna Doone either.

Elfrieda is much nicer and could be Elfie or Frieda or Ellie (worst case scenario). Aoife is lovely.

I has a conversation last week about Linnet from children of Green Knowe.

Love that name Wink

If you like Elfie, it could be a nickname for quite a lot of Old English names like Aelfrith or Aelfgifu.
