Your opinions would be appreciated

Myself and DH have narrowed down baby names to a top 5 for boys and girls. These are names which we both agree we like (some of my more unique names have not made the list!) but we can't agree on our favourite amongst these. I know these names won't be to everyone's taste, but if you HAD to name your baby one of these, what would be your order of preference?

Really interested to see which ones comes out on top

Boys:
Harrison
Henry
Jacob
Lucas
Zachary

Girls:
Adele
Ava
Chloe
Isabelle
Sophia

Only like Henry really, I think the rest are a bit over used.

Jacob, by miles.
Then Lucas.

Ava
Chloe
Sophia
Adele
Isabelle

So Jacob and Ava for me. Though both are very popular right now, if that bothers you.

Harrison is a surname
Adele is a singer
and Sophia is Sophie, which I love, ruined.

the rest are lovely, Henry/Harry quite common here and Izzy's do have to be very spelling tolerant, random le and la's appear on my friends Isabel, because Isabelle, Isabella is now so common.

I'm struck by the fact that your girls names are lovely and pretty classic but your boys names are not at all

Boys names - sorry I'll be blunt I'm not keen on any

Harrison - horrible (sorry)
Henry - classic but boring
Jacob - nice I think but grandparent aged people may comment it is a Jewish sounding name which might be off if you are not Jewish
Lucas - I'm torn and not sure if this is quite nice or really chavtastic
Zachary - OK but ditto comments re Jacob above

Girls names
Adele - no way, how could you, she may be a popular singer now but all other adeles make me think of a middle aged secretary
Ava - love it love it even though it is said to be very popular (but Eva is even better)
Chloe - lovely, classic name but has been v popular
Isabelle - like it but prefer Isobel and it is very popular
Sophia - again a nice name but not one that jumps out at me

my son is Zack. i loved it and still do. Suits him very well. he's not a Zachary though. i wanted to be slightly different. I love the name Jacob. Henry- hoover. Harrison will never be called it unless he's in trouble.

Girls names you've choosen are fairly popular and she would be in a classroom sharing a name. Adele is nice but my DH always says 'i've got one of those' (a dell laptop) when he hears the name. Perhaps you need to branch out into less common names?

How do you pronounce Ava - Ah-va or Eh-va? I've never heard it in real life!

It's A-va I thought? A like the letter. In some countries Eva gets pronounced as Ava and it confuses me a great deal!

For girls, I like Adele. The others are all perfectly lovely, but I know at least two of each (and about 15 Isobel/Isabel/Isabella/Bella's) so that would put me off. Not the popularity exactly, but personally knowing so many children with those names already. One baby group I went to had 3 Sophia's amongst 15 kids. They are popular for a reason though.

Boys I like all bar Harrison. I'm a bit of a refusenik on the 'surname as first name' trend though. Lucas and Jacob probably my favourites.

Girls I really only like Sophia with Isabelle and Ava tying for second place then Chloe with Adele a long way behind.
Boys I love Zachary like Henry and Harrison and Jacob and Lucas are ok.
I dont dislike any of the boys names but I have a very soft spot for Zachary after reading the Madeleine L'Engle 'Meet the Austins ' series. Mind you there is also Zachary Quack.....
